You’re Not *just* a Sales Representative!

Big news from the Real Estate Council of Ontario today. Effective immediately, RECO Registrants are no longer limited to “sales representative” or “broker” to describe a registrant. While you can still use those terms if you wish, Ontario Realtors now have the option to use other terms as well. The additional terms you can choose along with – or instead – are:

REALTOR®
Real Estate Agent

The additional terms apply to sales representatives and brokers. You can add your sales representative or broker designation to the above terms, for example “REALTOR® Salesperson” or “Broker Real Estate Agent” .

Please note that the term REALTOR® must include the registered symbol, and is only used under the terms provided by the Canadian Real Estate Association by members of CREA in good standing.

For more information about this change, please refer to the RECO Bulletin HERE – or connect with your Managing Broker.
